When you first arrived in Tucson, what was the most surprising difference or similarity you noticed between Tucson and your home country ? Write a paragraph to tell us what it was and why it surprised you.
well, one thing was surprising that a lot of people use bicycles it was the opposite from my hometown, but i found that the weather is the same, and the environment is another similarity.
One thing that suprised me was the traffic. In my country the traffic is a mess, nobody repects the signs,and everyone does what they want, so it suprised me very much because here everyone respects the signs, the people go to the correct speed. I like so much this traffic!
When I first arrived in Tucson, the most surprising difference I noticed between Tucson and São Paulo, Brazil, my hometown was about the organization and cleaning in Tucson. And also, how you can get people to live in the desert with quality water and enough electricity for all. Tucson is a very organized and clean city. It is totally different from São Paulo, wich is much bigger than Tucson. Unfortunately, you don't see the same care with the city. For example, sometimes there is not enough water and electricity for everyone. I hope, that in a near future, São Paulo can be more like Tucson.
When I arrived in Tucson, the biggest difference between São Paulo and Tucson I have noticed was the weather. The summer season in Tucson, as each other desert, is dry and very hot. In Brazil summer, it is wet and the temperature is not so high. Also, I think the fact of Brazil and USA have opposite seasons contributed for my perception because when I arrived in Tucson, I was wearing pants and a coat. One interesting and important thing is that almost everyone always have their water bottles in their hands.
When I arrived in Tucson, the difference between my hometown and Tucson I have noticed was the bicycle because in my hometown they did not use it at all,but in Tucson they use it a lot.The second thing was the traffic in my hometown they did not follow the rule,but n Tucson they follow it.The wether is same as my hometown.
Well, the most surprising thing is Mexican people. I felt like I'm in Mexico. They were speaking Spanish with me, and I chocked. "How's that I'm in America, how do they speak Spanish" I said. The biggest reason is Spanish and Arab people look like each other, and I like it <3.
since I arrived to Tucson, I found so many differences and similarity. one of the differences is my hometown is more modern than Tucson such as my hometown has many nice buildings and many malls. moreover, my hometown is industrial city. both Tucson and my hometown have the same number of population.
I never thought the weather in Tucson will be the big surprises for me. Before I came to Tucson I have some information about the weather and it was one of the reasons of choosing Tucson. I was not surprised by the temperature, but the strong of the sun here in Tucson. Although, my hometown and Tucson have similar weather but the sun here more stronger. I never thought that will be other place hotter than the Arabic Gulf.
When I arrived to Tucson, the most surprising me and I noticed between Tucson and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,was concern for the environment. Possibilities that we have in my country ten time or more than what is available here, but this did not complicate faith and concern for the preservation of the environment in Tucson. I never thought the weather in Tucson will be the big surprises for me. Before I came to Tucson I have some information about the weather and it was one of the reasons of choosing Tucson. I was not surprised by the temperature, but the strong of the sun here in Tucson. Although, my hometown and Tucson have similar weather but the sun here more stronger.
