Watch the video from the nightly comedy show Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jimmy Kimmel often goes to Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles and asks people questions to see if they will tell the truth.
In this video, he asks people if they have voted in the Vice-Presidential Election. The only problem is that there is no such thing as a Vice-Presidential Election!

ReplyDeleteFor my point of view, i think people lied because they didn't want to be embarrassed, and they wanted to show the know everything happing in the country.
It is really funny video. Some people lie because they do not know about anything and they just want get out of the situation. For example, some people they do not be embarrass when some one ask them. Some people prefer to not stop talking about any subject. The video shows that some people do not know about anything,but some of them knows about some subject.

Also may be the way that reporter used it in his dialogue incite lying. finally I think this people believe in T V news and reporter told the truth. people must be trust and believe in what they have of information not that one somebody tells.
ReplyDeleteI think people lie because they are in TV, so want people to know that they know everything. Also I could be because vote for vice president is very important. If they say not, thay get embarrased. However, for some people is difficult tell the truth, and that is so bad!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really funny vedio. Most people don't like to concern what happened within their country even whole world in our society . In the vedio there are not really have Vice-Presidential Election and almost everyone answer to the reporter that they have been voted to avoid the embarrassing situation. It is bad as well as dangerous to people if they don't care about what happened around them.
ReplyDeleteThe program, Lie Witness News, shows that interviewees were lying when they were asked if they had voted in the Vice–Presidential Election. I think they may feel that if they don’t lie, others may think that they certainly are outdated. For example, the reporter asks two stylish housewives a question. They just say “Yes”. In fact, they didn't know. There is another reason for people to lie. Probably some interviewer didn't want to be embarrassed especially when they were in front of a camera.

Based on what happened with the interviewees in this video, I guess that the interviewer looks like a serious and responsible person, mainly a interviewer from a TV channel. So, maybe people feel confident answering the question even if they don't know what it is about. Also, they can feel silly if they don't know answer the question about an important topic like an election. Probably, they prefer to lie than say nothing or the true: " I don't know what you are talking about?". They prefer lying to look like a responsible citizens.
ReplyDeleteIt is really funny video. Some people lie because they do not have the answer to the question ,and they want to change the subject or make it funny. For example , some people they don't have answer for question so they want to escape from the question. Also they don't want to feel embarrassed. I think the important thing of reporter that he need to be honest with audience.
ReplyDeleteit is funny. sometimes people need to be lier with other people. also, they want to be a social and familiar with their country news in front of them. on the other hand, people should be courtesy sometimes with some events happen to show other people that they know about every things.

I think that Some times people lie because they want to be famous. For example, many actors disappear their behavior because they need fans, so they will act like they are respectful people. In my opinion people should be like the way they are because someday people will know that they were cheated by the lier.
